Perchlorates and Water Sampling
The Victorville Water District has never had a water sample test positive for perchlorate. For this reason the Department of Public Health (DPH) does not require the District to sample for perchlorate on a regular schedule. The DPH has a projection of required sampling for the District going out two years and perchlorate is not on the projection. However, the Water District prefers to be proactive and conducts sampling for inorganic contaminants every year on all wells and testing for perchlorate is included in the inorganic sampling. The District has never tested positive for perchlorate at any of its sources of water supply.
